Last week, our chapter kicked off its participation in the nationwide “When We All Vote” initiative at Chapel Hill Park to energize local voters, promote early voting, and address a vital but often-overlooked community need—respiratory health. Through the “Party at the Polls” event series, we’ve found a powerful way to connect civic engagement with community health.
This year, we’re proud to join forces with the National Council of Negro Women’s Good Health WINs initiative, an effort focused on respiratory health and preventive care. By bringing information directly to voters, our chapter aims to bridge two essential goals: turning out voters and improving community wellness. Respiratory illness is a real concern, and at these events, we’re able to provide tips, resources, and preventive measures that can make a lasting difference.
By combining our goals with “When We All Vote” and Good Health WINs, we’re showing up for our community in ways that matter at the polls and beyond. We’re looking forward to our final Party at the Polls event tomorrow (10/27) at Bessie Branham Park, where we’ll be encouraging everyone to make their voices heard and stay informed about their health.
